The backend of a mobile dictionary: Uzbek and Italian words, translations, Excel import and a published SQLite database for the app's offline mode. In 2026 I moved it onto django-template, containerised it and migrated it to a new server without the installed apps noticing.
What I did
- Dictionary API and offline database delivery through nginx (X-Accel-Redirect)
- Word import from Excel
- A server move verified byte-for-byte against the old API responses
