Ticketing for the Centre of Islamic Civilization
Timed sessions, website, kiosks, cashier desk, turnstiles and an AI purchase assistant for a major museum in Tashkent
- My role
- Backend architect
- Period
- 2026
- Client
- Centre of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan
The ticketing system of the Centre of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan: timed-session sales on the website, self-service kiosks, the cashier desk and for organisations, QR validation at the turnstiles, cash discipline with shifts and fiscal receipts, ticket delivery in Telegram. A ticket can also be bought through an AI assistant running on the Centre's own language models.
The whole backend is mine: from the data model and pricing rules to the API docs for every client — website, kiosk, cashier, turnstiles and bot.
What I did
- Sessions with capacity, pricing rules, add-ons, group requests and guide booking
- Sales channels: website, cash-accepting kiosks, cashier desk, organisations (B2B)
- QR ticket validation at turnstiles and checkpoints
- Card payments via the bank's e-commerce with HMAC signatures and my own EMV QR generator
- AI purchase assistant: 12 whitelisted tools, JSON Schema validation, a GPU semaphore
- About 700 tests and docs for all 84 API routes
