The portal of the World Society for the Study, Preservation and Popularization of the Cultural Legacy of Uzbekistan (woscu.org, society.uz). A large content model: news, manuscripts, architectural epigraphy and monuments, a map of archaeological sites, facsimile editions, lectures, congresses, a media library, documentaries, UNESCO. I have been the main backend developer since 2022.

I also restored the Society's older site legacy.uz — "Cultural Legacy of Uzbekistan in World Collections" — from a backup and moved it into Docker.

What I did

  • Main backend developer: about 185 of 257 commits
  • A content model of dozens of sections and an API v2 for the frontend
  • WebP image conversion, CKEditor, Celery background jobs
  • Restored legacy.uz (MODX/PHP) from a backup and packaged it in Docker
